Founded in 1965, Echo Ridge Recreation Club (ERRC) has been a cornerstone of the community for generations. We’re a neighborhood swim and tennis club built around connection—where kids learn confidence, adults find their people, and families make summer (and year-round) memories together.
ERRC offers seasonal pool fun, year-round tennis, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that keeps members coming back year after year. From first swim meets and junior tennis lessons to adult leagues, social events, and quiet afternoons by the pool, ERRC is a place where neighbors become friends and traditions are passed down.
Proudly member-driven and community-focused, the club continues to evolve while staying true to its roots: providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable space for families to gather, play, and connect.

My Favorite Part of ERRC is the Fun Atmosphere
We are at the club most days in the summer. Both of my kids are on the swim team, we participate in Tennis clinics, and always enjoy the adult nights and parties. Our children, Emerie and Declan, attend Oak Grove Elementary where my wife, Susan, is on the board of the Oak Grove Foundation. If not at the club, we can usually be found on a sports field somewhere.

My Favorite Part of ERRC are the Summer Friday nights at the pool
We’ve called Oak Grove home since 2015 and consider Echo Ridge the heart of our community. I lead marketing for a procurement services firm, and I like to spend my free time project cooking, walking our chocolate lab, and traveling with my family.

My Favorite Part of ERRC The water slide and watching my kids battle each other at the ping pong table.
Moved into Oak Grove in 2001 with my husband, Doug, who was living in the neighborhood with my two awesome, now grown, stepkids. We have two kids together, Clint and Yvonne, now at LHS and HMS respectively (where I’m also the VP of Comms for the PTSA). I am the president of Headword, a boutique ATL-based agency doing branding and behavioral marketing for clients in start-ups, real estate, entertainment industries and beyond. What little spare time I have left involves going to see live music, camping in our retro RV and writing a bunch of newsletters.

My Favorite Part of ERRC is bringing neighbors together through events and celebrations. Of course, the parties don’t hurt either! The energy and sense of community on those days can’t be beat.
An Oak Grove resident since 2012, I live with my husband, Jeff, and our three kids: George, William, and Frances. Professionally, I lead internal communications and events for Floor & Decor. Outside of work, I serve on the ERRC Board, volunteer with the Chamblee High and Henderson Middle school sports and PTSA programs, and love traveling or staying active. As a Tuscaloosa native, I never miss a chance to say, “Roll Tide!”

My Favorite Part of ERRC are the social events & Agin’ Rays swim team
I moved to the neighborhood in 2023 with my husband, Blake, and 2 stepchildren, Parker & Leighton. We have loved calling this area our home and being a part of the Echo Ridge community! When I’m not spending my time at work as a pediatric nurse practitioner or at the ERRC pool, I can be found walking my dogs, golfing, or running with the Oakawana Running Club.

My Favorite Part of ERRC is the Swim team season and all of the quality time with our neighbors.
I am a mom of five kids, and we all have a deep love of Echo Ridge. I am the counselor at Cliff Valley school and a therapist in private practice. This will be my second time serving on the board in this position, and I am looking forward to collaborating with the board in the coming years.

My Favorite Part of ERRC is hitting balls with other Echo members!
I started playing tennis after becoming a member at Echo Ridge, and last year I even changed jobs so I’d have more time to play. When I travel, I usually pick hotels based on how close they are to a tennis court. I’m looking forward to turning 45 next year so I can finally be eligible for the senior men’s ALTA team.

My Favorite Part of ERRC Summer days at the pool and riding the slide with our kids
We moved to Briarcliff Woods in 2021, and Echo Ridge has been a big part of our family’s summers ever since. Our kids Cameron, Amelia, and Calvin have learned to swim here, and you can usually find us going down the slide together. Cameron attends Oak Grove, and my wife Tina serves as Treasurer for the Oak Grove PTA.

My Favorite Part of ERRC is the family fun, social events, and cheering on the Ragin’ Rays.
I’m a native Atlantan who moved to Oak Grove with my wife, Rochelle, in 2015. We’ve got four kids now, so things stay happily chaotic. I’m an engineer at Axon, and if I manage to grab a free night, it’s usually for a live show or a spot in the Supporters Section at an Atlanta United match.
